Who is the greatest classical composer of all time?

My response to the questions: My taste has definitely evolved through
the years. As a child I loved Beethoven because his music made sense
to me. I understood and loved the darkness and mystery of his music.
As I grew older, I felt that Puccini was unrivaled in his complex
harmonies. And oh, the tragedy of love in his work! But lately Mozart
really flips my switch. I read he created over 600 works - truly
prolific in such a short lifetime.

I am by no means an authority in music. but I am interested to read
your opinion.
